Your Cosmetic Options
All our treatments will leave you with a better-looking smile, but here are some that are considered cosmetic:
- Dental bonding – This is the perfect procedure if you want to make changes but aren’t quite ready to invest in veneers. The process involves using a tooth-colored composite material applied to your tooth to conceal chips, breaks, and correct gaps and uneven spacing. Bonding typically lasts about four to eight years on average.
- Porcelain veneers – A veneer is a thin porcelain facing that we bond to the front surface of a tooth. We often use veneers to correct chipped or broken teeth; but since they form a new surface, they can be customized to hide staining, change the size, shape, proportion, spacing, and even alignment of teeth. Veneers won’t stain and can last ten years or longer.
- Professional teeth whitening – This is by far the most popular cosmetic option because it’s fast, affordable, and can produce dramatic results. Choose from an in-office treatment that whitens your teeth in about an hour or try a customized kit that you use at home every day for two weeks. Both methods will brighten your smile by as much as six to eight shades.
- Porcelain crowns – Many people think of dental crowns as a restorative procedure. But they're designed to completely conceal your natural tooth, so we can use them to alter the shape and size of a tooth.
